In 2006, Cory Bettinghouse was a civil engineering student at the University of Nevada when his dad mentioned over dinner that he and the neighbors in their Del Webb retirement community needed someone to mow their tiny strips of grass. Cory put up a flyer for $5 mows, grabbed a used homeowner mower, a string trimmer, and a broom, and before he’d even bought equipment, 30 people had signed up. By the end of that first season, he had nearly 100 customers. What started as a side hustle during college is now a full-service lawn care company serving 2,000+ homeowners across Reno and Sparks. We still do things the same way: show up when we say we will, do the job right, and treat every yard like it matters.
